Thomas Cook Airlines charter flight punctuality improved significantly during 2013 compared with 2012, the average delay reducing by 20% from 25 minutes to 20 minutes and on-time performance increasing by 4 percentage points to 77%.

Compared to the UK charter flight average, Thomas Cook Airlines charter flights had a poorer punctuality profile in all delay categories, with the exception of on-time performance which was better than average during the year.

Thomas Cook Airlines charter flights were delayed by an average of 21 minutes during the summer 2013 season, with 77% on-time performance recorded.

Flights at Birmingham had the best punctuality for the airline, with on-time performance of 90% and an average delay of less than ten minutes.

London Stansted and Newcastle followed with above average punctuality seen for the airline, while the longest delays were experienced at Manchester, London Gatwick and Glasgow, with on-time performance of around 73% to 75% and the average flight held up for around 25 minutes.

Thomas Cook Airlines charter flights were delayed by an average of 19 minutes during the winter 2012 / 13 season, with 76% on-time performance recorded, the highest OTP level among the three UK charter airlines analysed during the season.

Flights at Birmingham and Newcastle had the best punctuality for the airline, with around 85% on-time performance recorded at those bases and average delays of 12 minutes or less.

London Stansted, Glasgow and Manchester followed with close to average punctuality seen for the airline, while the longest delays were experienced at London Gatwick, with on-time performance of around 70% and the average flight held up for 22 minutes.
