Thomson Airways charter flight punctuality improved significantly over the year to date compared to the same period the previous year, the average delay reducing by 35% from 27 minutes to 18 minutes and on-time performance increasing by 8 percentage points to 77%.

Compared to the UK charter flight average, Thomson Airways charter flights had a better punctuality profile across all delay categories during the year to date.

Thomson Airways charter flights were delayed on average by around 17 minutes across UK airports during the summer 2011 season, with 77% on-time performance recorded.

Flights at London Stansted and Birmingham had the best punctuality for the airline during the period, followed with close to average punctuality for the airline at London Gatwick, Newcastle and Manchester airports.

Delays at London Luton and Glasgow were longer with the average Thomson charter flight operating around 22 minutes behind schedule, while Thomson flights at Edinburgh suffered the longest delays at 36 minutes on average, with only 50% of services operating on time.

Thomson Airways charter flights were delayed by an average of 34 minutes during the winter 2010 / 11 season, with around 69% on-time performance.

Flights at London Stansted had the best timekeeping with an average delay of less than 12 minutes and 79% on-time performance. Flights at Newcastle, London Luton and Edinburgh also had above-average punctuality for the airline.

Thomson Airways charter flights at Manchester and London Gatwick suffered long delays averaging over 35 minutes with around 68% on-time performance, while flights at Glasgow and Birmingham had the worst timekeeping for the airline during the season.
