April 2012 data reveals BA CityFlyer at the top of the Latest OTP ranking
for both the month and year to date, while Monarch stayed at the bottom of the table for the fourth month in a row.
Aer Lingus, flybe, Ryanair and easyJet took 2nd to 5th position respectively, each boasting better OTP than the UK average in a pattern directly repeated for the year to date statistics.
Monarch scheduled flight OTP fell well short of the other eight airlines, with a third of their flights operating late during the month.
In a rare change, overall charter flight OTP sneaked half a percentage point ahead of scheduled services at UK airports (79.1% vs. 78.6%) during April. For the three charter airlines Thomson Airways reclaimed first position for the month, a clear percentage point ahead of Thomas Cook following the latters short-lived lead during March, while again Monarch charter flight OTP remained well behind these two carriers.
