July 2012 was the second consecutive month for BA CityFlyer at the top of the Latest OTP ranking
, but Monarch's seventh month in last place.
BA CityFlyer flights achieved an OTP of 88.6%, nearly 11 percentage points ahead of the UK average for scheduled flights, with Aer Lingus climbing back into second place with 87.1% OTP for the month.
For the seventh consecutive month Monarch scheduled flights had the worst OTP score of the nine UK airlines we analyse, though there was some improvement from their June low of 55% OTP, the airline operating 62.7% of their services on time during July 2012. This remained 15 percentage points poorer than the average of all scheduled flights at UK reporting airports.
Overall charter flight punctuality rose to an excellent 77.5% OTP average for the month, practically identical to the scheduled average and over ten percentage points higher than the 3-year July charter average. Individual airline rankings remained unchanged with Thomson Airways holding first position with 83.2% OTP over Thomas Cook (75.1%) and Monarch charter flights (65.2%).
