BA CityFlyer retained top position as the most punctual of the largest UK & Ireland scheduled airlines for August 2012 with an impressive 92.5% on-time performance (OTP) recorded, a clear lead over Aer Lingus with 85.1% OTP in the Latest OTP table.

The London City-based airline also widened it's lead in the year to date ranking with 86.9% OTP, some 7.1 percentage points ahead of the UK scheduled average and 0.6 percentage points ahead of Aer Lingus.

For the month of August low-cost airlines easyJet and Ryanair were in third and fourth position, both achieving OTP scores ahead of the UK average, while once again Monarch scheduled flights had the poorest timekeeping with less than 68% OTP, over 13 percentage points less than the UK average, a position held for eight consecutive months.

UK Charter airline rankings were unchanged with Thomson Airways achieving first position once again in August with a very impressive 85% OTP score, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines (74.4%) and Monarch Airlines charter flights (68.2%), with the same ranking evident in the year to date statistics.
