BA CityFlyer returned to top position as the most punctual of the largest UK & Ireland scheduled airlines for October 2012 in the Latest OTP table
with 87.8% on-time performance (OTP) recorded, a clear 10.6 percentage point lead over flybe, who climbed four places during the month to achieve second position with 85.3% OTP, knocking previous leader Aer Lingus into third spot with 83.9% OTP.
BA CityFlyer also retained the lead in the year to date ranking with 87.1% OTP, 7.3 percentage points ahead of the UK scheduled average but still just 0.3 percentage points ahead of Aer Lingus.
Monarch scheduled flights had the poorest timekeeping with less than 66% OTP for October and less than 65% OTP for the year to date, over 16 percentage points less than the UK average, a position held for 10 consecutive months since the start of 2012.
For UK Charter airlines the rankings were unchanged with Thomson Airways achieving first position once again in October with 80.9% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines (67.4%) and Monarch Airlines charter flights (65.2%), with the same ranking evident in the year to date statistics.
