finished in first place during the season, recording their fifth consecutive summer at the top of the league table, and also the best individual airline performance of any recent charter season with an average delay of only 11.3 minutes and over 82% on-time performance recorded.
The airline also achieved a rare clean sweep across all eight UK reporting airports at which it operated charter flights, securing the most punctual position at all eight during summer 2012.
In overall terms there was a 10% reduction in average charter flight delays during the summer 2012 UK charter airline season compared with summer 2011, with the average charter flight operating around 18 minutes late, the best average on record in over a decade.
Thomas Cook Airlines
followed Thomson as runner-up for the season, with Monarch Airlines
in third place.
