BA CityFlyer climbed two places into second position for the month of February, achieving nearly 90% OTP, with Aer Lingus following with around 89% OTP.
flybe were in fourth position, leading the low-cost airlines for the second month with around 87% OTP, ahead of Ryanair (84%) and easyJet (82%) during February.
The year to date analysis also showed bmi regional well clear at the top of the rankings with 93.6% OTP, while second place went to BA CityFlyer with 87.7% OTP, followed by Aer Lingus in third.
Overall scheduled flight punctuality improved in February 2013 by over five percentage points compared with January 2013, to 81.1%, some three percentage points above the 3-year January average.
Monarch scheduled flights remained at the bottom of the league table with the poorest timekeeping, achieving only around 61% OTP for February and around 63% OTP for the year to date, over 16 percentage points poorer than the UK average.
Among UK Charter airlines Thomas Cook retained top position for February for the second consecutive month, with 73.5% OTP, followed by Thomson Airways in second position (70.9%) and Monarch Airlines charter flights in third (51.4%).
For the year to date, Thomson charter flights still remained the most punctual with 80.5% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook and Monarch.
