Regional airline BA CityFlyer established a clear lead in our punctuality league table for July
with 91.4% OTP, ahead of bmi regional following with 89.3% OTP.

Ryanair and Aer Lingus remained in 3rd and 4th positions respectively, while Virgin Atlantic climbed ahead of flybe into 5th place for the month.
For the year to date bmi regional remained well clear at the top of the table with 92.9% OTP, while in second place BA CityFlyer recorded 90.0% OTP, both well in excess of the scheduled flight average for the period at UK reporting airports of 79.6%.
British Airways and Monarch scheduled flights once again had the poorest OTP levels for the month at 71.4% and 68.9% respectively, around 10 percentage points poorer than the UK average in the case of Monarch.
Charter flight punctuality improved by 4.9 percentage points in July with an overall OTP level of 77.7%, Thomson Airways once again taking the OTP lead with 80.7%, following two months at top for Thomas Cook Airlines whose 78.8% OTP in July relegated them into second place. Monarch was in third position with 67.6% OTP for their charter flights in July, 10 percentage points poorer than the UK average in line with their scheduled flight performance.
For the year to 31 July there was no change in the ranking compared with the previous month among the charter carriers, Thomson charter flights being the most punctual with 78.9% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook and Monarch.
