with 95.6% OTP, ahead of BA CityFlyer in second place with 91.6% OTP.

Aer Lingus and Virgin Atlantic followed with an identical OTP level of 88.0%, the latter climbing ahead of Ryanair who finished in 5th position.
For the year to date bmi regional remained well clear at the top of the table with 93.3% OTP, while in second place BA CityFlyer recorded 89.9% OTP, both well in excess of the scheduled flight average for the period at UK reporting airports of 79.7%.
British Airways and Monarch scheduled flights once again had the poorest OTP levels for the month at 76.9% and 69.6% respectively, almost 13 percentage points poorer than the UK average in the case of Monarch.
Charter flight punctuality improved by 2.9 percentage points in August with an overall OTP level of 80.6%, Thomson Airways once again taking the OTP lead with 85.8%, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines in second place with 77.0% OTP. Monarch was in third position with 67.2% OTP for their charter flights in August, over 13 percentage points poorer than the UK average, in line with their scheduled flight performance.
For the year to 31 August there was no change in the ranking compared with the previous month among the charter carriers, Thomson charter flights being the most punctual with 79.0% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook and Monarch.
