BA CityFlyer Holds Significant OTP Lead in February

BA CityFlyer maintained first position for the second consecutive month in our February OTP punctuality league table at UK Reporting Airports, with 92.4% OTP, 10 percentage points above the UK average and well clear of runner up easyJet (87.7%). flybe and Aer Lingus followed with OTP levels of 84.1% and 83.7% respectively during the month.

While bmi regional remained at the top of the year to date league table with 92.0% OTP, their performance was significantly poorer than usual during February 2014 with 77.9% OTP, compared with 93.2% during February 2013. Jet2 remained in last place during February however, with 75.2% OTP, around seven percentage points below the UK average.

Overall Charter flight OTP was 71.3% in February, Thomson Airways maintaining first place with 75.6% OTP for the month, comfortably ahead of Thomas Cook Airlines (72.7%), and well ahead of Monarch Charter flights (60.9%).

For the full year there was no change in the ranking compared with the previous month among the charter carriers, Thomson charter flights being the most punctual with 79.7% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook and Monarch.
