bmi lead August OTP table with 86%; easyJet trail with just 66%
Scheduled flight on-time performance recovered slightly month-on-month from a record low in July 2015, increasing by 2.9 percentage points to reach 72.5% in August 2015, though this remained well below the 3 year August average OTP level of 78.7%.

bmi regional retained their lead in our OTP league table for August, with 86.4% of flights operating on time, while easyJet suffered their fifth consecutive month in last place with just 65.5% OTP.

Scheduled flight OTP at a record low in July - easyJet still in last place; bmi regional lead
Scheduled flight on-time performance fell by 5.2 percentage points month-on-month to just 69.6% on average in July 2015, a significant fall and the worst overall level seen in four years.

bmi regional took the lead in our OTP league table for July, with 86.1% of flights operating on time, while easyJet once again recorded their worst ever monthly timekeeping at just 60% OTP.

Jan-Jun 2015 Punctuality Statistics
Punctuality data for the first six months of 2015 has been uploaded across the site. BA CityFlyer were in first position among scheduled airlines, with Finnair and Scandinavian SAS finishing runners-up.

The low-cost airlines ranking saw Monarch in first position, a significant improvement from last place during 2014, with flybe and Ryanair following closely in second place.

BA CityFlyer lead, Jet2 trail in January 2015 OTP
BA CityFlyer kicked off 2015 at the top of our OTP league table for January, with 86.4% of flights operating on time, while Jet2 trailed well behind in last place with 66.3%.

This was the first monthly OTP league table where 24 UK Reporting Airports were included in the analysis.

Changes to Punctuality Data in 2015
2015 will see the biggest change in our punctuality data since the site was founded in 2003, with the addition of 14 airports to the current list of 10, each of which will report monthly punctuality data, compiled and published by the CAA.

The new list of 24 UK reporting airports for punctuality from 1 January 2015 will effectively provide almost complete national coverage.

The site has been updated with data for the first nine months of 2014 now analysed for scheduled and low cost airlines, and across over 70 Key Routes from London Airports. KLM flights had the best timekeeping while Air Canada had the poorest performance.
