September 2014 was a month of changes in the OTP ranking for the largest UK & Ireland airlines, as Aer Lingus and Virgin Atlantic jumped into first and second position for the month with 83.2% OTP for both carriers at UK Reporting Airports
. Jet2 followed with 82.6%, climbing three places since August to take third position.

The regular OTP leaders BA CityFlyer and bmi regional were in 4th and 5th place respectively in September with around 81% OTP, and it was another poor month for easyJet in last place with 71% OTP, a slight improvement on their August level of 69%.
For the rolling year to 30 September 2014 there was no change in the rankings. bmi regional (88.8%) held a marginal lead over BA CityFlyer (88.5%), followed by flybe in third with 83.1% OTP. At the other end of the table, the poorest performance for the 12-month period was recorded for Monarch Scheduled flights at 75.1%, and for British Airways at 75.6%.
In the charter flight analysis for September 2014, Thomson Airways took the lead with 77.7% on-time performance, moving Thomas Cook Airlines back into second place with 76.9% and Monarch Airlines charter flights finishing a very close third with 76.8%.
The rolling year to 30 September statistics for charter flights Thomas Cook retained the lead with 76.1% OTP, Thomson Airways following with 74.7%. Monarch charter flights remained the least punctual for the 12-month period with 68.6% OTP.
