Thomson Airways finished in first place during the season, recording their seventh consecutive summer at the top of the league table, with an average delay of 15.8 minutes and around 74% on-time performance recorded.

Thomson flight punctuality remained well clear of charter flights operated by rival carriers Thomas Cook Airlines (18.7 minutes) and Monarch Airlines (19.1 minutes).

In overall terms there was a slight increase in average charter flight delays during the summer 2014 UK charter airline season compared with summer 2013, with the average charter flight operating just under minutes late, the second best level for charter flight punctuality recorded over the last decade.

Thomas Cook Airlines followed Thomson as runner-up for the season, with Monarch Airlines charter flights in third place.
