Regional carrier Eastern Airways took the lead among UK & Ireland carriers at 24 UK Reporting Airports
in our OTP league table for June, with 86.5% of flights operating on time, edging marginally ahead of BA CityFlyer in second position with 86.4% OTP.
easyJet recorded by far the worst punctuality among analysed airlines during the month with an OTP level of 64.0%, 11 percentage points poorer than the UK average for scheduled flights in July and their worst recorded timekeeping performance since we began analysing monthly OTP levels in January 2012.
Our further examination of easyJet OTP levels during June 2015 by reporting airport showed that flights to and from London Gatwick had the poorest performance, achieving only 50% OTP, whereas easyJet flights at smaller bases (for example Belfast and London Stansted) maintained good punctuality - 79% OTP in both cases.

Aside from the poor easyJet OTP during June, British Airways and Loganair also recorded on-time performance levels below the UK average during the month at 72.6% and 72.5% respectively.
For the rolling year to 30 June 2015 BA CityFlyer remained in first position recording 86.9% OTP, 10 percentage points better than the UK average during the period. bmi regional were in second place for the year with 85.5% OTP, while at the bottom of the table easyJet and British Airways were the only analysed airlines falling significantly below the UK OTP average for the period, with 74.9% and 74.6% OTP respectively.
Overall charter flight OTP among all airlines at UK airports fell again in June 2015 compared with the previous month, to 71.7%. Thomas Cook charter flights were in first position with 76.3% OTP for the month, a sizeable lead over Thomson Airways charter flights which achieved 70.8% OTP.
For the rolling year to 30 June 2015 the charter airline rankings were unchanged, with Thomas Cook (76.2% OTP) leading over Thomson Airways (73.8%).
