bmi regional flights at UK Reporting Airports had the best on-time performance level during March 2016 in our UK & Ireland airlines OTP league table, climbing five places since February 2016 to achieve 89% OTP. Aer Lingus moved to second position, with flybe in third. At the bottom of the table Thomson Airways flights had the poorest on-time performance for the third consecutive month.

Scheduled flight on-time performance across all 24 UK Reporting Airports fell by 2.2 percentage points between February and March 2016, to 76.9% overall - some 4.2 percentage points poorer than the 3-year March average.
The trend was similar over the rolling 12 months to 31 March 2016 with OTP falling slightly to 76.2% for the period, close to two percentage points below the 3-year average level.

bmi regional flights took a significant punctuality lead over other carriers during March 2016 recording 89.0% on-time performance, some 12 percentage points above the UK average and 2.7 percentage points better than second-place Aer Lingus.
flybe and Aer Lingus Regional finished in third and fourth positions for the month with 83.7% OTP and 83.5% OTP respectively.
At the bottom of the league table for the third consecutive month was Thomson Airways, operating only 62.1% of their flights on time at UK Reporting Airports during the month - nearly 15 percentage points below the UK average level.
Although performing much better than Thomson flights, a batch of low cost and leisure carriers also recorded below average on-time performance levels for the month, the group comprising Thomas Cook Airlines (71.7% OTP), easyJet (72.3% OTP, Monarch Airlines and Jet2 (both 72.7% OTP).
During the rolling year to 31 March 2016 bmi regional retained top position with 84.2% on-time performance. When comparing with the rolling year to 29 February 2016, flybe moved into second place relegating BA CityFlyer into third, with latest 12-month OTP levels of 82.2% and 82.1% respectively.
Towards the bottom of the rolling year league table Thomas Cook dropped by two positions to 13th, with British Airways and Loganair each gaining one place. Thomson Airways and easyJet flights had the poorest OTP levels for the 12 month period, recording around 67% and 71% on-time performance respectively, at least six percentage points worse than the UK average.
