June 2016 was the worst single month on record since we began analysing monthly OTP levels in January 2012 - with only 61% of scheduled flights operating on time at UK Reporting Airports.
In our OTP league table, Eastern Airways achieved top position with 78% OTP while easyJet recorded just 46% OTP, the first time we have witnessed an airline record a higher level of flights delayed than on time at a national level.

Overall scheduled flight on-time performance at UK Reporting Airports fell by a dramatic 14.4 percentage points between May 2016 and June 2016 to 60.7%, 15 percentage points below the 3-year average June OTP level of 75.7%, making it the worst month for scheduled flight punctuality at UK Airports since we began analysing monthly OTP levels in January 2012.
OTP for the rolling year to 30 June 2016 was 74.8%, 1.4 percentage points below that for the rolling year to 31 May and 3.3 percentage points below the 3-year average level.

Eastern Airways flights achieved the highest punctuality level for June 2016 in our league table of UK & Ireland airlines with 78.3% OTP, not usually a standout performance but in this case a huge 17.6 percentage point lead over the national average level for the month.
Loganair were in second place for the month with 74.6% OTP, closely followed by Virgin Atlantic in third recording 74.3% OTP.
By far the worst performance among major UK & Ireland carriers was seen for easyJet services, achieving a dismal 45.8% on-time performance, the first time we have witnessed an airline record a higher level of flights delayed than on time at a national level.
British Airways, bmi regional and BA CityFlyer services also recorded poor timekeeping with OTP levels below the monthly UK average.
For the rolling year to 30 June 2016 Aer Lingus Regional flights climbed three places to reach first position with 81.3% on-time performance, with Aer Lingus climbing one place to take second position overall with 81.0% OTP.
bmi regional flights suffered the highest drop when compared with the rolling year to 31 May 2016, falling three places to finish fourth with 80.4% OTP.
Thomson Airways and easyJet flights had the poorest OTP levels for the 12 month period, recording around 67% and 69% on-time performance respectively, at least six percentage points worse than the UK average.
