Loganair lead October 2016 OTP league table with

Loganair achieved top position in our OTP league table of 15 UK & Ireland scheduled airlines across UK Airports during October 2016, with 86.3% on-time performance recorded, 11 percentage points higher than the UK average.

Virgin Atlantic flights followed in second place with 83.8% OTP, with Aer Lingus Regional and Jet2 services following closely in third and fourth recording 82.6% and 82.5% OTP respectively.

At the bottom of the league table easyJet fell back into to last place during October with 65.7% OTP, nine percentage points worse than the scheduled flight average.

Overall scheduled flight OTP at UK Airports was 74.9% in October 2016, a 2.7 percentage point improvement compared with the previous month but still 3.6 percentage points lower than the historical 3-year average for October OTP.

OTP for the rolling year to 31 October 2016 was 73.3%, a slight drop compared with the rolling year to 31 September and 4.8 percentage points below the 3-year average level.

Loganair achieved the highest on-time performance among UK & Ireland Airlines at UK Airports during October 2016 with 86.3% OTP, over 11 percentage points above the national average level for the month. Virgin Atlantic flights dropped one position to finish in second place for the month with 83.8% OTP.

Aer Lingus Regional and Jet2 both climbed four positions month-on-month to achieve third and fourth place with 82.6% and 82.5% OTP respectively.

easyJet flights returned to last place for the month, recording the worst performance among major UK & Ireland carriers with just 65.7% OTP, around nine percentage points below the national average level.

Thomson Airways flights also had less than average timekeeping during October with 73.3% OTP, around 1.6 percentage points below the national mean.

For the rolling year to 31 October 2016 there were only minor changes in the ranking compared with the rolling year to 30 September, with Aer Lingus and their regional affiliate still in first and second place with 81.5% and 81.4% OTP respectively for the carriers across UK Airports. flybe flights were in third position with 80.1% on-time performance.

Virgin Atlantic services were in fourth place for the 12 month period, achieving 79.0% OTP.

easyJet flights remained in last place during the rolling year, with 65.2% OTP, over eight percentage points worse than the UK average.

easyJet were followed by Thomson Airways flights in 14th place with only 68.3% OTP.
