Aer Lingus flights held top position in our monthly OTP league table for January 2017 at UK Airports with 90.8% OTP, with Aer Lingus Regional in second place achieving 88.5% OTP.
flybe flights made a sharp improvement to achieve third position for the month with 82.2% OTP, along with easyJet flights gaining seven places in the league table month-on-month to finish 8th with 69.3% OTP.
Thomson Airways fell to last place recording just 66.5% OTP, with Thomas Cook not far ahead in 14th place achieving only 69.3% OTP.

There was a significant improvement in scheduled flight on-time performance at UK Airports between December 2016 and January 2017, with overall OTP increasing by over seven percentage points to 77.0%, though this remained below the 3-year average January OTP of 79.9%.
OTP for the rolling year to 31 Janaury 2017 was 72.9%, a slight fall compared with the rolling year to 31 December and 5.2 percentage points below the 3-year average OTP level.

Aer Lingus retained the lead in our OTP league table among UK & Ireland scheduled carriers at UK airports during January 2017, recording 90.8% on-time performance, nearly 14 percentage points above the national average level for the month.
Aer Lingus Regional were in second place with 88.5% OTP, with flybe following in third achieving a significant improvement climbing three positions in the league table since December with 82.2% OTP.
easyJet flights also made a marked punctuality gain month-on-month climbing seven places in the league table since December to achieve 8th position overall with 77.8% OTP in January.
At the bottom of the league table for the month were flights operated by Thomson Airways, which achieved just 66.5% OTP, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines at 69.3% OTP in 14th place.
For the rolling 12 months ending 31 January 2017, Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional swapped places at the top of the league table with OTP rates of 82.3% and 80.8% respectively, both well ahead of the UK average scheduled OTP level of 72.9% for the same period.
flybe were in third position for the period with 79.4% OTP, closely followed by Loganair in fourth with 79.2% OTP.
easyJet and Thomson Airways flights had the poorest OTP levels for the 12-month period, recording around 65% and 68% on-time performance respectively, at least five percentage points worse than the UK average.
