Aer Lingus in clear OTP lead for fourth consecutive month in February 2017
Aer Lingus flights held a clear lead in our monthly OTP league table for February 2017 with 84.6% OTP. flybe flights followed in second place achieving 81.8% OTP, with close third and fourth places for Loganair (81.7% OTP) and Virgin Atlantic (81.5% OTP).

Aer Lingus Regional flights dropped to 5th position for the month with 81.1% OTP, having spent the previous three months among the top three carriers.

Thomson Airways remained in last place recording just 67.8% OTP, with Thomas Cook not far ahead in 14th place achieving only 68.0% OTP.

Aer Lingus retains OTP lead for third consecutive month in January 2017
Aer Lingus flights held top position in our monthly OTP league table for January 2017 with 90.8% OTP, with Aer Lingus Regional in second place achieving 88.5% OTP.

flybe flights made a sharp improvement to achieve third position for the month with 82.2% OTP, along with easyJet flights gaining seven places in the league table month-on-month to finish 8th with 69.3% OTP.

Thomson Airways fell to last place recording just 66.5% OTP, with Thomas Cook not far ahead in 14th place achieving only 69.3% OTP.

2016 Punctuality Data Released
Punctuality data for the full year 2016 has been uploaded across the site. Qatar Airways was in first position among scheduled airlines, with KLM finishing runner-up.

The low-cost airlines ranking saw flybe in first position, with Ryanair in second place.

Aer Lingus & Aer Lingus Regional finish 2016 top of the OTP league tables
Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional flights achieved first and second place in the monthly OTP league table for December 2016 with 84% and 82% OTP respectively.

Both carriers also led the annual OTP ranking for the 12 months ending 31 December 2016 with a significant margin over other airlines.

easyJet flights were at the bottom of the league table for both the month of December and the year as a whole.

Aer Lingus leads November 2016 OTP league table; Virgin falls to last place
Aer Lingus flights climbed four places in the monthly OTP league table for November 2016 to achieve top position at UK Reporting Airports with 90.9% OTP.

Aer Lingus Regional flights achieved second place with 87.4% OTP, with Monarch flights also seeing a big improvement climbing seven places month-on-month to secure third position with 87.0% OTP.

At the bottom of the table Virgin Atlantic flight punctuality reversed recent gains having been at or near the top of the league table in recent months, and fell to last place in November with 70.9% OTP. Thomson flights were not far ahead in second to last place recording 71.0% OTP in November.

Loganair lead October 2016 OTP league table with Virgin runner-up
Loganair achieved top position in our OTP league table of 15 UK & Ireland scheduled airlines across UK Airports during October 2016, with 86.3% on-time performance recorded, 11 percentage points higher than the UK average.

Virgin Atlantic flights followed in second place with 83.8% OTP, with Aer Lingus Regional and Jet2 services following closely in third and fourth recording 82.6% and 82.5% OTP respectively.

At the bottom of the league table easyJet fell back into to last place during October with 65.7% OTP, nine percentage points worse than the scheduled flight average.

Punctuality data for the first nine months of 2016 (Jan-Sep) has been uploaded across the site. KLM were in first position among scheduled airlines, with Qatar Airways and Finnair finishing runners-up.

Virgin and Aer Lingus lead in the September 2016 OTP rankings
Virgin Atlantic flights retained first place in our OTP league table of UK & Ireland airlines across UK Airports for September 2016 recording 82.6% on-time performance, over 10 percentage points above the national average and the second consecutive month in top position for the airline.

Aer Lingus followed in runner-up position with 80.6% OTP, with Loganair flights climbing two places since August to secure third place for the month with 79.2% OTP.

Eastern Airways timekeeping made a rare fall to last place during September with 58.8% OTP, with easyJet still facing another summer struggle for punctuality with 60.1% OTP.

Virgin lead August 2016 OTP league table, easyJet remain in last place
Virgin Atlantic flights led our August OTP league table of UK & Ireland airlines achieving 81.1% on-time performance. Aer Lingus finished the month in second position with 80.2% OTP and BA CityFlyer rebounded by eight places month-on-month to secure third place with 79.0% OTP.

easyJet flights recorded the lowest OTP level among UK & Ireland airlines during the month at just 58.1%, remaining in last place for the third consecutive month.

easyJet flights suffer second consecutive month of record delays in July 2016
easyJet flights recorded only 49% on-time performance at UK Reporting Airports in July 2016, maintaining last place in our OTP league table. Loganair and Virgin Atlantic flights had the best OTP scores during the month, both achieving 78%.

Worst overall OTP for five years in June 2016; Eastern Airways lead with 78% on-time, easyJet in last place with a dismal 46% on-time
June 2016 was the worst single month on record since we began analysing monthly OTP levels in January 2012 - with only 61% of scheduled flights operating on time at UK Reporting Airports.

In our OTP league table, Eastern Airways achieved top position with 78% OTP while easyJet recorded just 46% OTP, the first time we have witnessed an airline record a higher level of flights delayed than on time at a national level.

Restated: flybe leads May 2016 OTP league table; easyJet falls to last place
flybe flights climbed seven places in the monthly OTP league table for May 2016 to achieve top position at UK Reporting Airports with 83.5% OTP.

Loganair flights achieved second place with 82.9% OTP a significant improvement of 12 places in the league table since April 2016, with Aer Lingus Regional steady in third and Eastern Airways flights also seeing a big improvement climbing six places month-on-month to secure fourth position, both carriers recording the same OTP level as Loganair.

At the bottom of the table easyJet flight punctuality fell to last place with just 67.2% OTP for the month, signalling a possible return to the dreadful summer of punctuality performance for the carrier at UK airports in 2015. Thomson Airways flights were not far ahead of easyJet in 14th place recording 70.2% OTP.

Restated: Aer Lingus and Monarch lead April 2016 OTP league table
Aer Lingus flights returned to the top of the OTP league table at UK Reporting Airports for April 2016 recording 87.2% OTP, with Jet2 climbing nine places since March to take a very close runner-up position with 87.0% OTP.

Monarch flights also saw a significant improvement jumping nine places since March to finish third with 85.3% OTP. bmi regional timekeeping made a rare fall to last place for the month with 74.8% OTP, though they retained the rolling year to date punctuality lead.
