Virgin Atlantic flights retained first place in our OTP league table of UK & Ireland airlines across UK Airports for September 2016 recording 82.6% on-time performance, over 10 percentage points above the national average and the second consecutive month in top position for the airline.
Aer Lingus followed in runner-up position with 80.6% OTP, with Loganair flights climbing two places since August to secure third place for the month with 79.2% OTP.
Eastern Airways timekeeping made a rare fall to last place during September with 58.8% OTP, with easyJet still facing another summer struggle for punctuality with 60.1% OTP.

Overall scheduled flight OTP at UK Airports was 72.2% in September 2016, a 1.2 percentage point improvement compared with the previous month but still four percentage points lower than the historical 3-year average for September OTP.
OTP for the rolling year to 30 September 2016 was 73.7%, a slight drop compared with the rolling year to 31 August and 4.4 percentage points below the 3-year average level.

Eastern Airways flights made a rare fall to last place for the month, recording the worst performance among major UK & Ireland carriers with just 58.8% OTP.
easyJet services continued their summer punctuality struggle with only 60.1% OTP for September, some 12 percentage points poorer than the national average OTP level.
For the rolling year to 30 September 2016 Aer Lingus and their regional affiliate swapped positions between first and second place with 81.7% and 81.2% OTP respectively for the carriers across UK Airports. flybe flights remained in third position with 80.2% on-time performance.
Virgin Atlantic services were in third place for the 12 month period, achieving 78.8% OTP.
easyJet flights remained in last place when compared with the rolling year to 31 August 2016, with 66.0% OTP, nearly eight percentage points worse than the UK average.
easyJet were closely followed by Thomson Airways flights in 14th place with only 67.8% OTP.
