Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional flights achieved first and second place in the monthly OTP league table for December 2016 at UK Airports with 84% and 82% OTP respectively.
Both carriers also led the annual OTP ranking for the 12 months ending 31 December 2016 with a significant margin over other airlines.
easyJet flights were at the bottom of the league table for both the month of December and the year as a whole.

There was a sharp drop in overall scheduled flight on-time performance at UK Airports between November 2016 and December 2016, with the average OTP level falling by 11.5 percentage points month-on-month to 69.6%, over 4 percentage points below the 3-year average for December OTP of 74.0%.
OTP for the rolling year to 31 December 2016 was 73.1%, a marginal fall compared with the rolling year to 30 November and still five percentage points below the 3-year average OTP level.

Aer Lingus maintained their position at the top of the OTP league table among UK & Ireland scheduled carriers at UK Airports during December 2016, recording 83.6% on-time performance, 14 percentage points above the national average level for the month.
Aer Lingus Regional retained second place with 82.4% OTP, with Jet2 climbing three places in the league table since November to achieve third position with 79.2% OTP.
easyJet flights reversed their November gain and saw a significant timekeeping fall in December, dropping seven places in the league table month-on-month to last place with 63.5% OTP.
Thomson flights were not far ahead of easyJet in second to last place recording 63.8% OTP in December.
For the rolling year to 31 December 2016 there were only minor changes in the ranking compared with the rolling year to 30 November, with Aer Lingus Regional taking top position for the year with 86.7% OTP, followed by Aer Lingus in second with 82.4% OTP across UK Airports.
flybe flights were in third position with 79.7% on-time performance, with Loganair in fourth recording 78.5% OTP for 2016 (slightly ahead of Virgin Atlantic with 78.3% OTP).
easyJet flights remained in last place during the year, with 65.0% OTP, over eight percentage points worse than the UK average.
easyJet were followed by Thomson Airways flights in 14th place with only 68.2% OTP.
